Food Safety Training

What did you do yesterday?

🧑‍🍳Yesterday our amazing staff and volunteers spent the day off on a Food Safety Level 2 Course along with Kimblesworth and Plawsworth Task Force.

🙏🏻 The Task Force is a registered charity who run the community cafe in Nettlesworth Community Centre.

📆 🚚 For the past ***68 weeks*** (wow 🥰) they have cooked and delivered the free hot meals for the youth project’s Food for Thought project.

🆓 At the peak of the pandemic (from their tiny kitchen), they were sending out 250 free meals a week across Nettlesworth, Kimblesworth, Plawsworth, Edmondsley, Witton Gilbert and also Grange Villa and Pity Me.

🍽 In the autumn last year we invited Changing Lives to the partnership and between the two charities they have continued to send out approx 80 meals per week. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

A day well spent 🙌🏻
