Foody Friday Gets Off to a Souper Start

👩‍🍳 What a “souper”first Foody Friday today, our adult session to discover new cooking skills, share recipes, and learn new ways to support your nutritional health, all on a budget, whilst meeting like minded people. 👨‍🍳

Today was our Souper Soup Session, learning about the “holy trinity” and the principles to make soup out of staple ingredients every larder has, along with things you might have otherwise thrown out of your fridge or freezer, not knowing what to do with it.

What did we make?

🥔 Leek and Potato Soup

🌶 Spicy Mexican Bean Soup

🥬 Winter Vegetable Soup

🍽 Each one was delicious and full of vitamins and minerals, fibre, and antioxidants which all contribute to a healthy diet. 🍽

🏡 We also shared our culinary delights with our neighbours Woodshed Workshop and Recycld 🏡

Each portion we made cost less than 50p, demonstrating that eating well doesn’t need to cost the earth if you have some culinary tricks up your sleeve 🪄

As with all of our sessions, this is FREE for everyone and we don’t need bookings ahead of time.
