☀️ 🌞 The sun was out for Forest School today and we certainly made the most of it.
🌳🌳 The main goal of our Forest School includes encouraging curiosity and exploration with all of the senses, empowering children in the natural environment. Our sessions are designed to encourage free play and supported risk taking during weekly sessions at our woodland site.
Today the group enjoyed lots of different activities including:
⛺️ Den building and creating shelters for animals
🪚🪵 Developing tool skills
🎨🐲 Creating woodland faces out of clay and natural resources
🌳🦥 Swinging in hammocks and taking in our surroundings using our senses
💦 🔫🪣🌬 Having a water fight and blowing bubbles
🌭🌭 We ended the session with hot dogs 😋
